Luego de que la Consejería Jurídica de la Presidencia reconoció “contradicciones” en la reforma sobre las llamadas pensiones doradas, jubilados de confianza de Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) demandaron al Congreso de la Unión reparar la ley y corregir el segundo transitorio del artículo 127 constitucional.
En un mitin a las afueras de la torre ejecutiva de la empresa estatal, integrantes de la Alianza Nacional de Jubilados se manifestaron ayer contra la reforma que entró en vigor en abril porque, señalaron, genera efectos retroactivos y vulnera los derechos de cientos de ex trabajadores, con más de 30 años de servicio.
“Es momento de corregir una reforma que nació con errores”, manifestaron con pancartas y mantas jubilados de Pemex, la Comisión Federal de Electricidad, Banobras, Nafin y Bancomext, entre otras, que reclamaron por la disminución de su percepciones.
Antonio Vega, vocero de la alianza, celebró que la Consejería Jurídica haya reconocido las “inconsistencias”, pero llamó a que se revisen, ya que existen distintas interpretaciones sobre el alcance de la reforma y se requiere certeza jurídica.
Inicialmente, la reforma estableció el tope de jubilación máxima en 67 mil 145 pesos mensuales (50 por ciento del salario presiden.

Pensioners demand correction of pension reform

After the Presidential Legal Counsel acknowledged “contradictions” in the reform regarding so-called “golden pensions,” retired Pemex executives demanded that the Congress of the Union amend the law and correct the second transitional provision of Article 127 of the Constitution.
At a rally outside the state-owned company’s executive tower, members of the National Alliance of Retirees protested yesterday against the reform, which went into effect in April. They argued that it has retroactive effects and violates the rights of hundreds of former employees with more than 30 years of service.
“It is time to correct a reform that was flawed from the start,” declared retirees from Pemex, the Federal Electricity Commission, Banobras, Nafin, and Bancomext, among others, who were protesting the reduction in their pensions.
“It is time to correct a reform that was flawed from the beginning.” Antonio Vega, spokesperson for the alliance, welcomed the Legal Counsel’s acknowledgment of the “inconsistencies,” but called for a review, given the differing interpretations of the reform’s scope and the need for legal certainty.
Initially, the reform set the maximum pension cap at 67,145 pesos per month (50 percent of the president’s salary).
