El secretario del Trabajo y Previsión Social, Marath Bolaños López, encabezó la 36.ª Sesión Extraordinaria del Consejo Directivo del Instituto del Fondo Nacional para el Consumo de los Trabajadores, en la que se presentó oficialmente a Wendolyne Retana Alarcón como nueva titular de Fonacot.

Durante la sesión, realizada con integrantes del Consejo Directivo del organismo, se formalizó la llegada de la nueva funcionaria al frente del instituto encargado de otorgar créditos y financiamiento a trabajadores formales en México.

La designación ocurre en un momento relevante para Fonacot, institución que mantiene un papel importante en el acceso al crédito para millones de trabajadores afiliados en el país. La presentación de Wendolyne Retana Alarcón fue dada a conocer por la Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social a través de redes sociales.

El Consejo Directivo de Fonacot está integrado por representantes del gobierno, del sector empresarial y del sector sindical, quienes participan en la toma de decisiones relacionadas con la operación y dirección del instituto.

La sesión extraordinaria estuvo encabezada por Marath Bolaños López en su calidad de presidente del Consejo Directivo del organismo.

STPS announces new head of Fonacot during extraordinary session

The Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, Marath Bolaños López, headed the 36th Extraordinary Session of the Board of Directors of the Institute of the National Fund for Workers’ Consumption, in which Wendolyne Retana Alarcón was officially presented as the new head of Fonacot.

During the session, held with members of the organization’s Board of Directors, the appointment of the new head of the institute responsible for providing loans and financing to formal sector workers in Mexico was formalized.

The appointment comes at a significant time for Fonacot, an institution that plays a vital role in providing access to credit for millions of affiliated workers across the country. The presentation of Wendolyne Retana Alarcón was announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare via social media.
