Palacio Legislativo de San Lázaro, 03-03-2026.– El Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF) publicó en su edición vespertina la reforma al artículo 123 de la Constitución Política, en materia de reducción de la jornada laboral, el cual entra en vigor el miércoles 4 de marzo.
El pasado 25 de febrero, el Pleno de la Cámara de Diputados aprobó por mayoría calificada, en lo general y en lo particular, el proyecto de decreto que reforma y adiciona las fracciones IV y XI del apartado A del artículo 123 de la Constitución Política, para reducir la jornada laboral de 48 a 40 horas semanales.

San Lázaro Legislative Palace, March 3, 2026 – The Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) published in its afternoon edition the reform to Article 123 of the Political Constitution, regarding the reduction of the workday, which took effect on Wednesday, March 4.
On February 25, the Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies approved by qualified majority, in general and in particular, the draft decree that reforms and adds to sections IV and XI of section A of article 123 of the Political Constitution, to reduce the working day from 48 to 40 hours per week.
